The convenience and portability of cordless power tools come with a price. The batteries that power these tools need to be replaced at regular intervals. The Makita line also features a wide range of different power levels suitable any type use whether it is for home use or contractor grade. For most light duty jobs the 9.6 volt and 14.4 volt levels usually work fine. Contractors and other professionals usually opt for more powerful tools equipped with 24v batteries.
